Joe Doria - Hammond Organist / Keys and Bandleader, Composer

With a strong library of original compositions, years of exciting performances heading up his own projects as well as being featured in numerous artists Projects/CD's, ...musician and composer "Joe Doria" is an artist who's carving his own unique voice and sound on the Hammond organ and keys adding depth and dimension to every project and performance. Never limiting himself to one style and constantly working with new projects, no musical stone goes unturned.

Andy Coe - Guitar

Guitarist Andy Coe also co-founded Seattle-based World Funk Fusion group Iguales and has played with numerous greats incuding John Coltrane alumnis/jazz legends Rashied Ali and Reggie Workman, John's son Ravi Coltrane, Skerik, Stanton Moore, Mike Dillon and many more.

Glide Magazine had this to say of Coe's performance with The Rashied Ali Quintet:

"Andy Coe's fuzz-distorted solo... might have woken up the ghosts of at least a few guitar gods."

Cliff Colon - Saxophone

Cliff is a brilliant and saxophonist here in the PNW continually amazing audiences with every performance. Jazz, funk, hip-hop, or you name it....Cliff's playing is expressive and exciting.

Tarik Abouzied - Drums

Tarik Abouzied is an active multi-instrumental musician in the Northwest music scene known for his deep pocket and powerful sound. A founding member of funk group Pocket Change and jazz project Hardcoretet, Tarik also performs regularly with McTuff, Tiger's Wood, DOA Trio and countless other bands and artists. As a teacher, he maintains a large studio of students and has given instruction and clinics at Western Washington University and school districts all over the Northwest. His influences include Chris Potter, Kneebody, Billy Kilson, Brian Blade, Soundgarden and Led Zeppelin.

Mike Stone - Drums

Mike has been playing drums professionally for 20 years and has a BFA from Cornish College. He has played and/or recroded with Peter Buck (REM), Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam), Peter Destefano (Porno for Pyros), Bill Frissell, Wayne Horvitz, Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), Berrett Martin (Screaming Trees), Ben Shepard (Sound Garden), Michell Froom (Latin Playboys), Skerik (Critters Buggin, Crack Sabath), Jay Thomas, Dan Marrud, Mark Eitzel (American Music Club), Shaun Smith (Pigeonhead, Brad) and many others. Mike continues to play around town and is an active studio musician.

 

 

D'Vonne Lewis - Drums

D'Vonne Lewis is a self-taught drummer with a background in gospel, funk, and rhythm and blues. Lewis graduated from Seattles Roosevelt High School where he has received numerous high school jazz band awards, including outstanding soloist at the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival for the years of 2000, 2001, and 2002. In early 2007, he was awarded the Seattle Jazz, Earshot Jazz Golden Ear Award for Emerging Artist of 2006.

Lewis has performed with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Marian McPartland, guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, vocalist Dee Daniels, jazz clarinetist Eddie Daniels, Larry Fuller, and out-sax titan Charles Gayle. Lewis plays in several bands around the puget sound exploring a broad range of music styles including jazz, funk, African, Brazilian, hip-hop, and r&b. In the fall of 2004, the D'Vonne Lewis Quintet was featured at the Earshot Jazz Festival. He now leads his own quartet, Industrial Revelation; and his own trio Triplication. D'Vonne is a regular member of Marc Seales' Quintet; Seattle's soul queen Choklate; Seattle's Blue Scholars; and last but not least, the Hadley Caliman Quartet

 

 

Devin Phillips - Saxophone

His debut album with New Orleans Straight Ahead “Devin Phillips: Wade in the Water” is now out and available on cdbaby.com. Featuring six originals, four standards and two traditional numbers, the CD, also offers a cool video of the title cut. Notes Tim Duroche of the awarding-winning newspaper Willamette Week, the album “showcases his suave dynamics of musicality, showmanship and swagger – as noted in the tradition of jazz’s cradle as it is caged in frenzied, jazz modernity.”
